Hoheria sexstylosa (lacebark)
Queenstown Nursery
Hoheria sexstylosa, commonly known as Lacebark, is an elegant NZ native tree with long, narrow leaves carried on slender, upright branches. In late summer it produces profusions of white, star-shaped flowers that brighten the canopy and attract bees and other pollinators. Its tidy form and light, airy foliage make it an excellent specimen tree for both native and mixed plantings.
Reaching around 8m tall and 3m wide, Lacebark grows at a medium rate and performs well in full sun to partial shade. Hardy and reliable across Queenstown and Central Otago, it is well suited to shelter belts, feature planting or adding height and structure to garden borders.
Choose Hoheria sexstylosa for a graceful NZ native that delivers summer flowers, pollinator value and year-round elegance in a wide range of garden settings.
