Hoheria angustifolia (narrow-leaved lacebark)

Queenstown Nursery

Hoheria angustifolia, commonly known as Narrow-leaved Lacebark, is a handsome NZ native tree valued for its compact form, fine foliage and generous summer flowering. The narrow, toothed leaves create a light, elegant texture, while masses of small white flowers appear in summer, attracting bees and other pollinators. Juvenile plants have a distinctive columnar shape with divaricating branches, gradually maturing into a graceful small tree.

Reaching around 6m tall and 3m wide, Narrow-leaved Lacebark grows at a medium rate and performs well in full sun to partial shade. Hardy and reliable across Queenstown and Central Otago, it is excellent for mixed borders, native plantings or fast-establishing shelter where a tidy, upright form is desired.

Choose Hoheria angustifolia for a refined NZ native that delivers summer flowers, pollinator value and elegant structure in both sheltered and open garden settings.
