Hebe odora (box wood)

Hebe odora, commonly known as Boxwood Hebe, is a hardy, compact NZ native shrub with a naturally rounded, ball-like form and small, dark-green box'like leaves. In summer it produces showy white, cone-shaped flowers that add brightness and attract pollinators. Its dense structure and tidy habit make it ideal for low hedging, edging, rock gardens and mixed native plantings.

Reaching around 1.2m tall and 1.5m wide, Hebe odora thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils. Frost hardy and evergreen, it performs reliably across Queenstown and Central Otago, offering year'round shape and texture with minimal maintenance.
