Griselinia littoralis 'Variegata' is a hardy, attractive NZ native shrub with rich green leaves irregularly blotched and edged with pale gold. Its bright, variegated foliage adds contrast and light to the garden, making it an excellent choice for feature planting, hedging or mixed evergreen borders. The compact, tidy habit also suits container growing.

Reaching around 2m tall and wide, 'Variegata' thrives in full sun to partial shade and grows well in any reasonable, free-draining soil. Hardy, evergreen and tolerant of wind and coastal exposure, it performs reliably across Queenstown and Central Otago when planted in well-drained conditions. Its dense structure responds well to trimming, making it ideal for low to medium hedges.
