Corokia 'Bronze King' is a handsome upright NZ native shrub with dark green-bronze foliage that deepens in colour through winter, adding rich seasonal contrast to the garden. Slender and compact, it forms a tidy structure ideal for hedging, screening or using as a standout specimen in coastal, dry or frosty areas. In summer it produces bright yellow star'shaped flowers, followed by abundant red berries in autumn that attract birds.

Growing to around 2m tall and wide, 'Bronze King' thrives in full sun to partial shade and tolerates wind, drought and cold conditions. Hardier than Corokia 'Frosted Chocolate', it performs reliably across Queenstown and Central Otago, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance native gardens, mixed plantings and exposed sites.
